Metro East Programs

Beginning the 2014-2015 season MYSA is requiring all parents fill out waivers and provide a copy of your players birth certificate. Please bring these to the first practice to make sure your child is able to participate. To download a copy of the waiver click HERE.

Also, dont forget to have your players wear shin guards and bring a ball and plenty of water to drink.

All Academies

All players in these age groups practice together, with their age group, and are coached using a designed Academy program that is geared to introducing players to the game of soccer. At each practice the coaches will divide the kids into small groups and will introduce them to soccer with fun games that focus on touches on the ball. The emphasis for this age group is foot skills, ball handling and confidence with their individual skill. Players are given the opportunity to express themselves in games but the emphasis IS NOT winning or how to win games. Our goal is to build the player 1st. As the players get older additional skills, along with team skils, will be added to the practices.

U3-4 Academy

This academy is more of an introduction to soccer and the benefits it offers to children under 4.  The “teams” will consist of 5-6 players and will all practice together with our Academy trainers.  Fun training games, personal skills, and ball handling will be the emphasis of this academy.

Volunteer parents are needed to be Game Day Managers. Game Day Managers make sure all players get equal playing time, are on the field with the players to help direct them and create a snack schedule for their team.

All practices and games are held at Frick Park in Oak Grove. The Academy will begin Tuesday, August 29th from 6:00 to 6:35pm. There will be four practices and two "games".
